Greek Origins opens on a dry, aromatic flourish of bay leaf, mace and sage, signalling its debt to YSL Kouros's bracing herbal overture. The heart layers warm cinnamon and coriander with bergamot, leafy geranium and jasmine, lending a powdery floral lift, before a base of vetiver, patchouli, amber and musk turns the composition warm and faintly animalic. On skin it wears as a confident, grounded aromatic-spicy scent with a clean musky drydown. Where vintage Kouros roars with honeyed civet and oakmoss, this dupe is gentler and more linear, the animalic edge softened to a hint and the powdery sweetness dialled back. Projection stays close and longevity is the main trade-off, but for autumn and winter evenings and formal nights it delivers a wearable, affordable nod to an icon.
