Tropical Delight bursts open exactly as its name promises: a big, juicy pineapple lifted by tangy Sicilian mandarin, instantly the sweet-tart fruit cocktail at the heart of the D&G it imitates. A whisper of jasmine sambac softens the centre, keeping it from turning purely sugary. The drydown leans on vanilla absolute with a salty ambergris and a faint earthy tobacco curl that adds a grown-up warmth beneath the fruit. Compared to the Dolce & Gabbana original, this Perfume Parlour version pushes the pineapple louder and slightly more synthetic-sweet, while the boozy, woody-tobacco facets that give the original its rounded finish are fainter here.
