Verdant opens on a tart, juicy green apple lifted by Calabrian bergamot and mandarin, capturing the crisp, slightly sour signature that makes Parfums de Marly Greenley stand out from sweeter apple scents. A heart of cashmeran, petitgrain, pomarose, cedar and violet keeps it green and smoothly woody, before a base of oakmoss, musk and amberwood gives a clean, airy finish. The overall character is fresh, breezy and modern - the kind of green-citrus that wears easily in warm weather. As a Perfume Parlour budget interpretation it renders the composition flatter and more 2D than the Marly: the crisp three-dimensional apple is thinner, the woody-mossy drydown less refined, and longevity sits skin-close at a few hours rather than the 6-8 the original can manage on good days.
