Perfume Parlour Victory is an Eau de Parfum launched in 1989. Victory opens with Bergamot, Lemon, Mandarin, and Orange Blossom, settles into a heart of Jasmine, Lily Of The Valley, Heliotrope, and Cardamom, and dries down to a base of Sandalwood, Patchouli, Vanilla, and Tonka Bean. Perfume Parlour's Victory carries an Acquired verdict, a sweet-led wear.

Perfume Parlour's Victory chases the legendary Joop! Homme - the tutti-frutti sweet citrus opening and dense vanilla-tonka base are recognisable, but this dupe thins out the cloying powerhouse strength and beast-mode longevity that made the 1989 original infamous.

About

Victory opens sweet and bright, a citrus rush of lemon, mandarin and bergamot lifted by orange blossom that quickly tilts toward the famous tutti-frutti, almost bubblegum, accord of Joop! Homme. The heart layers cinnamon and cardamom spice over heliotrope, jasmine and lily-of-the-valley, before the base does the heavy lifting: a dense, sweet vanilla anchored by tonka, patchouli and sandalwood. It chases one of the great powerhouse orientals of 1989 - polarising, very sweet, complex and famously strong. This budget version captures the sweet vanilla DNA but renders flatter and less dense: the candied top reads up front, the spicy floral heart thinner, and the cloying, room-filling base of the original is dialled right back. Where the real Joop! projects boldly and lasts well over eight hours, this version settles closer to the skin within a few hours. As a sweet, cosy oriental for autumn and winter evenings it delivers the signature vanilla warmth; just without the legendary potency.
