Ramon Monegal Ocean Oud is an Extrait de Parfum launched in 2017, created by Ramón Monegal. Ramon Monegal's Ocean Oud carries an Acquired verdict, a woody-led wear.

Ocean Oud sets oud against the cool, watery pull of calone, with leather and oakmoss keeping it from drifting too far out to sea. It is an unusual pairing that suits anyone who finds classic oud too heavy.

Top, heart and base are the brand's own listing, not a timing claim - the industry classifies a note by its character as much as by how fast it fades. Each curve here is modelled from that material's own volatility, so groups can overlap when a house lists long-lasting materials in its heart.

About

Ocean Oud is an extrait that lists its notes without splitting them into tiers, so it is best read as a whole. Oud sits at the centre, joined by calone for a marine, airy edge, and by sage and oakmoss for a green, earthy depth. Leather, amber and labdanum add a warm, resinous body, while coconut, rose, jasmine and cyclamen soften the edges with a little sweetness and floral lift. Musk and cedar finish it. The result is woody and mysterious, with a fresh twist on a dark material.
