Roos & Roos Globulus is an Eau de Parfum launched in 2022. Globulus opens with Green and Eucalyptus, settles into a heart of Cardamom, Sage, and Mint, and dries down to a base of Aquatic and Oakmoss. Roos & Roos's Globulus carries a Favourite verdict, an aromatic-led wear.

A cold, mentholated eucalyptus soliflore from Nicolas Bonneville, sharpened with cardamom and sage and grounded on a mossy, faintly aquatic base. One of the few fresh niche scents that actually smells green rather than merely clean.

When To Wear

Best Seasons

Best For:
Spring Summer
Also Works:
Fall

Eucalyptus, spearmint and an aquatic dew accord are cooling materials that peak in heat, and there is no amber or resin weight to carry it through cold months.

Best Occasions

Best For:
Office Casual Sport

Its clean herbal transparency suits shared offices and post-gym wear, but the camphorous edge and lack of warmth make it a poor fit for date nights or black tie.

About

Globulus is named for the eucalyptus species it is built around, and the brand uses two extractions of it at once: the leaf essence for the sharp camphorous lift, and a bud extract that brings a greener, almost fruity edge. The result is an opening that hits like a handful of freshly snapped leaves, bracing without turning into a chest rub. The heart holds the temperature down with spearmint essence, then warms it just enough with Guatemalan cardamom, which adds a dry, faintly resinous spice rather than sweetness. A sage-leaf material widens the green facet, keeping the composition herbal instead of soapy. The base is unusually restrained for the house: a crystal moss note the brand likens to oakmoss lays down a soft woody floor, while an aquatic material lends a dew-on-grass coolness that stops the drydown drying out entirely. Performance is the honest limitation here, as eucalyptus and mint are volatile by nature; expect around five hours with a bright first hour and a close, skin-level trail after that. Wear it in high summer, on hot commutes, after the gym, or in an office where anything heavier would be unkind. The lane is aromatic-green niche, closer in spirit to Mentha Religiosa from the same house than to any designer fresh scent, and it makes no attempt to be sexy. It is a mood-fixer, and it does that job very well.
