Rosa Salas Arabian Nights is an Eau de Parfum. Arabian Nights opens with Bergamot, Rose, and Pink Pepper, settles into a heart of Orris, Lavender, and Galbanum, and dries down to a base of Woody, Amber, and Patchouli. Rosa Salas's Arabian Nights carries a Favourite verdict, a floral-led wear.

Despite the name, Arabian Nights follows Tom Ford Arabian Wood's actual chypre-fougere direction (rose, orris, galbanum, oakmoss-adjacent woods) rather than an oud-forward scent - true to a genuinely misleadingly-named original.

About

008 - Arabian Nights is Rosa Salas' take on Tom Ford's Arabian Wood, a Private Blend whose name promises incense and oud but which is, on the skin, a classic aromatic chypre built on rose, orris, galbanum and lavender over oakmoss-adjacent woods - reviewers of the original consistently note the name is misleading. Rosa Salas' version keeps that same character rather than chasing the oud the name implies: rose, pink pepper and bergamot open with a spicy-floral brightness, orris, lavender and galbanum bring the powdery, green fougere heart that gives the original its 'mossy forest' reputation, and woody notes, amber and patchouli close things out. It's a faithful direction match even if the individual materials are simplified - the original's more elaborate list running to rose de mai, honey, jasmine, gardenia, freesia, ylang-ylang and tonka bean is condensed here into broader strokes. Sillage on the genuine Arabian Wood is famously low even though longevity runs long, and this dupe follows suit with a soft, close-to-skin presence rather than a bold projection. A gentle, unisex chypre-fougere that rewards people expecting the powdery-green complexity the name doesn't advertise, rather than a smoky oud fragrance.
