Slumberhouse Ore is an Eau de Toilette launched in 2009, created by Josh Lobb. Ore settles into a heart of Oak, Whisky, Cacao Pod, and Guaiac Wood. Slumberhouse's Ore carries an Acquired verdict, a woody-led wear.

This one's a divisive beast. Some reckon it's a sophisticated, boozy dark chocolate dream, a proper grown-up gourmand. Others just get cheap cocoa powder and dusty old junk. Definitely not a safe blind buy, so sample first.

About

Ore opens with a punch of rich, raw cacao, immediately tempered by the dry, aged whisper of oak and a warming splash of whisky. As it settles, the scent deepens into a woody embrace of guaiac and mahogany, softened by the resinous sweetness of Peru balsam and a hint of vanilla. It's a dark, complex brew, reminiscent of an old library filled with forgotten leather-bound books and a mug of artisanal hot chocolate.
