Eros - 475 - Intense

The Essence Vault's No. 475 - Intense amplifies the standard No. 475 formula to chase Versace Eros Parfum, the richer, more concentrated member of the Eros line. The mint, green apple and lemon opening is pushed more vibrant and electrifying here, and the tonka-vanilla heart is thickened considerably, aiming for the denser, more commanding sweetness that defines the Parfum concentration. This works reasonably well for the first impression, delivering a genuinely more intense, longer-projecting scent than the standard No. 475. Where it still falls short of the real Eros Parfum is in the woody-ambroxan resonance: Versace's Parfum carries a deeper, almost resinous warmth beneath the sweetness that gives it a truly heavyweight, expensive-smelling character, while No. 475 Intense mostly just turns up the vanilla and musk volume rather than adding genuine complexity. The result is a louder, sweeter, more assertive fragrance that suits confident evening wear and colder-weather dates, but it reads more like an amplified version of the entry-level dupe than a faithful match to the sophistication of Versace's true Parfum.
