The Essence Vault Gentlemen's Society - 377 is an Eau de Parfum. Gentlemen's Society - 377 opens with Cardamom, Nutmeg, and Sage, settles into a heart of Vetiver and Narcissus, and dries down to a base of Cedar, Sandalwood, and Vanilla. The Essence Vault's Gentlemen's Society - 377 carries a Favourite verdict, a woody-led wear.

No. 377 follows Givenchy Gentleman Society's cardamom-cedar-vanilla blueprint closely in the opening, but the narcissus-vetiver heart is thinner and the cedar-vanilla base doesn't hold the original's smooth, lasting sensuality.

About

Inspired by Givenchy's Gentleman Society, No. 377 opens with the same sage and cardamom contrast that gives the original its stimulating, aromatic start, with a touch of nutmeg adding extra spice. The heart brings in narcissus and vetiver to chase the floral-woody complexity that sets Gentleman Society apart from more generic masculine woods, and this section reads reasonably close for the first couple of hours. The base is where the gap opens up - the original's cedar, vanilla and Palo Santo melt into a deeply sensual, cohesive drydown that lingers for most of the day, while No. 377's cedarwood-vanilla-sandalwood base is pleasant but flatter, thinning to a simple sweet woodiness a few hours in rather than the addictive, magnetic trail the real thing leaves. Still a solid modern masculine for the price, with enough spice and warmth to work well as an office-to-evening scent.
