This is The Essence Vault's own amplified take on their Portrait of a Lady dupe rather than a separate original: an even bigger rose absolute over a deeper, resinous patchouli-and-incense base than the standard No. 565. It leans further into the original's maximalist, dramatic character and suits black-tie or statement-making occasions where you want undeniable presence. The trade-off is the same as with the standard version, just more pronounced at the extremes - the added richness up front doesn't translate into Malle's hours-long, smoky-animalic longevity, and the intensity mellows into a soft rose-musk within the evening rather than lingering into the next day. A good pick if you want the loudest, most opulent version of this dupe line specifically, rather than a faithful clone of the designer original's full performance.
