Ocean Swim 05 is the smell of an orange cut open beside a pool. It takes its lead from Louis Vuitton Afternoon Swim, the 2019 citrus, and its whole purpose is the opening: mandarin, orange and bergamot arrive vivid and sparkling, bright as a squeeze of vitamin C. Ginger and ambergris sit in the heart, giving a light, sun-warmed lift and a faint saltiness that keeps the orange from being a simple juice. Musk underpins everything, clean and weightless. It is built to be brief. Longevity is very short, with the scent fading to a skin whisper in a couple of hours, so reapplication is part of the routine. Strength is low and the trail is soft. Use it for hot afternoons, sport, holidays and easy casual days. It is a pure feel-good citrus and has no interest in formal occasions.
