The Parfum Hub Sienna 72 is an Eau de Parfum. Sienna 72 opens with Blackcurrant, settles into a heart of Rose and Freesia, and dries down to a base of Patchouli and Oakmoss. The Parfum Hub's Sienna 72 carries an Acquired verdict, a chypre-led wear.

Sienna 72 nails Si's blackcurrant-rose-freesia opening, but swaps the original's warm vanilla-ambroxan base for a mossier, drier patchouli-oakmoss finish, tipping the sweet gourmand-chypre balance noticeably chypre.

About

Sienna 72 goes after one of the most-copied fragrances of the last decade, Giorgio Armani's Si, and gets the hardest part right: the syrupy blackcurrant-nectar opening layered with rose de mai and freesia is a close match to the real thing, and it's genuinely the most recognisable part of both fragrances. Where Sienna 72 diverges is the base. Si is famous for settling into a warm, vanilla-and-ambroxan drydown that keeps the whole composition sweet and modern; this dupe swaps that out for patchouli and oakmoss, pulling the finish in a drier, more classically chypre direction. The result smells like Si for the first hour, then drifts into something a little different - not necessarily worse, but not a faithful match either. Worth trying if you like the opening and don't mind a mossier finish.
