Vallense Source is an Eau de Parfum launched in 2024, created by Pia Long. Source opens with Mandarin and Pepper, settles into a heart of Cypriol Oil or Nagarmotha, Oud, Frankincense, and Praline, and dries down to a base of Amber, Vetiver, Benzoin, and Grass. Vallense's Source carries a Statement verdict, a musk-led wear.

Source brings mandarin and black pepper into dry incense, oud and praline, over amber and benzoin. An earthy, smoky and sometimes sweet evening scent that wearers find complex.

Top, heart and base are the brand's own listing, not a timing claim - the industry classifies a note by its character as much as by how fast it fades. Each curve here is modelled from that material's own volatility, so groups can overlap when a house lists long-lasting materials in its heart.

About

Source is a unisex Eau de Parfum by Vallense, created by Pia Long. The brand describes it as a sensual fragrance for special evenings and notes that it was a finalist in the Art and Olfaction Awards. It opens with mandarin and black pepper, then moves towards frankincense, cypriol and oud with a distinct praline sweetness. Amber, benzoin and Vallense's signature musk accord close it out. Wearers repeatedly describe an earthy, smoky, resinous and woody character; some notice a church-like incense impression, while others compare the opening to a smoky barrel. Sweetness has a place in the composition, but it does not read as a conventional dessert scent. It suits anyone who enjoys dark, incense-led fragrances.
