Zurai By Virtue of Sunbeams is an Eau de Toilette launched in 2022, created by Sam Macer. By Virtue of Sunbeams opens with Grapefruit, Mango, and Spruce, settles into a heart of Sea Water and Solar Notes, and dries down to a base of Musk, Ambergris, and Guava. Zurai's By Virtue of Sunbeams carries a Statement verdict, an elemental-led wear.

A sunny grapefruit-led tropical citrus with mango, guava and a light marine edge. Wearers like its bright, summery character, though its staying power varies by skin and clothing.

Top, heart and base are the brand's own listing, not a timing claim - the industry classifies a note by its character as much as by how fast it fades. Each curve here is modelled from that material's own volatility, so groups can overlap when a house lists long-lasting materials in its heart.

About

By Virtue of Sunbeams is a bright Eau de Toilette that pairs tart grapefruit with sweet tropical fruit and a breezy marine setting. It starts with grapefruit, mango and spruce, moves through sea water and suntan lotion, then settles over guava, ambergris and musk. The citrus is the clearest through-line in wearer accounts. Mango and guava soften its sharpness, while the watery notes keep the fruit from reading as a dense gourmand. Several wearers describe a warm-weather, holiday character. One finds grapefruit and mango over watery fruit and musk, while another calls it linear and citrus-led. The sharp citrus and bright, tropical framing make summer and casual daytime wear the strongest fit. There is less support for formal or cold-weather use. Performance reports vary. One wearer says it becomes an intimate skin scent after about two hours, and another describes several hours of trail before it sits closer. A different customer says it stays on clothing for more than two days, which does not show that it lasts that long on skin. Longevity and trail are therefore treated as moderate, with no fixed duration promised. It was released in 2022 and is sold in 100ml, 30ml and 1.8ml sizes, all of the same Eau de Toilette. Overall, this is a fresh, juicy citrus-fruit scent with a breezy seaside mood. Most of the response supports grapefruit and tropical fruit, while a few wearers find the musk subdued or the sweetness too candy-like.
