Michael Knudson is the name credited as perfumer for the Gravel Signature Collection on Parfumistas, which lists A Man's Cologne, Across the Ocean, American Dream, 46th Street, Hudson River NY and Hazel under it. Gravel's own site spells the name Knudsen. It presents Michael B. Knudsen as the founder and creator of the brand, born in Scandinavia in 1911, who emigrated to New York and launched A Man's Cologne in 1957 as the first men's perfume in the USA. Gravel's site does not name a perfumer on its American Dream page, which lists a 2019 release. No other biography was found.
