Acqua Alpes

Acqua Alpes is an Austrian niche perfume house based in Innsbruck, inspired directly by the landscapes and atmosphere of the Tyrolean Alps. The project took shape in the summer of 2012, when founders Daniel and Benjamin Deutsch and pharmacist Lara Balacco decided to translate the clear air, alpine meadows, and mountain water of their surroundings into fragrance. This concept led to the creation of Tirol's first dedicated perfume manufactory, working with natural essences and alpine spring water as the technical and thematic core of the line.

The brand focuses on unisex compositions that highlight freshness, clarity and transparency rather than heavy, opaque structures. Its perfumes are built around crystal-clear mountain water drawn from the depths of the Alps, which is used as the base medium for the fragrances and is positioned as a key differentiating element. Names such as 2828, 2677 and 3333 reference the elevation of local peaks like Pirchkogel, Glungezer and Schaufelspitze, reinforcing the link between each scent and specific alpine locations.

In the laboratory at Inzing near Innsbruck, the founders develop and hand-produce the fragrances themselves, using natural and exclusive essences and refining existing formulas over time. The olfactory style leans toward airy aromatic, woody and floral blends with occasional spicy-oriental facets, designed to remain relatively light and discreet on skin while still conveying a distinct alpine signature. Since 2013, the brand has expanded from its initial eau de toilette collection into broader perfume and home fragrance lines, yet continues to emphasize Tyrolean mountain water and natural ingredients as the basis of its identity.
