Bold French-made perfumes built with culture-makers and priced below traditional luxury fragrance.

About French Cowboy

French Cowboy is an independent fragrance brand co-founded by Ashley Santiago and Adrien Ollat and launched in late 2025. The name combines Santiago's Mexican family heritage, including a grandfather who worked as a cowboy across the Americas, with Ollat's French background. The company operates primarily as a digital, online-only fragrance business and positions its perfumes as French-made compositions offered at more accessible prices than traditional high-end perfumery.

The debut collection was built around collaborations with creators outside the conventional perfume world. Mezcal Chocolat was developed with French chef Mathis Molinié and uses a gourmand, warm-spicy direction associated with chocolate, mezcal and salted lime. Pear Pavlova was created with Canadian dancer Allie Goodbun and centres on a fruity-sweet pear profile. Later releases listed by Parfumo include Fig Lemonade and Vanilla for Breakfast, showing a continued focus on recognisable edible or drink-inspired themes rather than restrained classic structures.

Brand Evolution

French Cowboy began in late 2025 with two perfumes created through collaborations between Ashley Santiago and creators from food and performance culture. Its subsequent listings, including Fig Lemonade and Vanilla for Breakfast in 2026, retain the brand's ingredient-led, edible naming while broadening the range beyond its initial mezcal-chocolate and pear-pavlova concepts.

Quick Verdict

French Cowboy is a promising niche newcomer for people who want sweet, high-impact perfumes with clear concepts. Its main limitation is a still-small catalogue and a strong dependence on gourmand themes, which will not suit lovers of understated or traditionally elegant perfumery.
