A British clean-luxury house of four vegan eaux de parfum, made without phthalates, parabens or artificial dyes

About Medeau

Medeau is a British clean-luxury fragrance brand built around vegan eau de parfum made without phthalates, parabens, nitro musks, artificial dyes or known endocrine disruptors. Canadian-born Allison Stubbings founded it in 2019. She could not find a perfume that treated ingredient safety as seriously as luxury, and set out to make her own.

The idea began in 2017, and the first collection of four perfumes came in 2021, made with the perfumer Azzi Glasser. Stubbings started with natural-only materials but found they limited the fragrance and could carry allergens, so the house moved to a mix that includes bioidentical ingredients. The brand has since been taken on by Tim Gray and Jo Dalton, whose site says they are building it into its next era and describes it as London-based.

The range is four 50ml eau de parfum. Daydreamer is clean and breezy, with elderflower, bergamot and musk. Paradiso is sweet and powdery, with bergamot, magnolia and musk. Siren is a radiant floral of jasmine, peach and soft musk. Lost In The Forest is the one woody scent, with cedarwood, citrus and warm spice. The four were renamed some years ago, from Origin, Safara, Evening Blush and Cedar Noir, with the formulas unchanged.

Medeau sits between clean beauty and luxury perfume. The scents are light and easy to wear for people who read ingredient lists, and the house leans on independent ingredient screening to back its claims. It sells mainly through its own website, with a small number of independent stockists.
