Magnolia is the citrus white flower: a bright, lemony lift over a creamy white-floral heart. Under it the champaca reading turns lactic - warm milk, banana skin - beside a creamy-waxy body that outlasts the top and leaves a waxy sweetness in the drydown. Green facets run through it, with a honeyed warmth and a faint apricot fruitiness. It is brighter than jasmine and never narcotic.
