Mirads Parfums

Mirads Parfums is an independent perfume house founded in England by Miya Porubcan, known online as Fab Trends by Miya, a fragrance reviewer on Instagram and YouTube. A company of the same name was registered in June 2022, and its director is Porubcan. The brand's own pages say it is based in England, and the founder grew up in Zambia.

Porubcan says that growing up in Zambia, perfume was a luxury that few could even try, because shops kept it locked away. Moving to England over two decades ago let the founder smell fragrances whenever wanted. The first three Mirads creations are inspired by that journey from Africa to Europe, and all three are unisex extraits made with the perfumer Miguel Matos. Two newer extraits, Romantica and Sweet Symphony, credit a second perfumer, Margaux Le Paih Guerin.

The range is gourmand and amber-led. Impératrice la Vanille is an amber vanilla with coconut, caramel and a touch of civet. Pendragon's Heart is a woody, spicy scent of saffron, tobacco and myrrh. Paradis du Désert is an aromatic, fougere-style scent of lemon, lavender and ambergris. Romantica is a floral gourmand of citrus, jasmine, honey and vanilla, and Sweet Symphony is a fruity gourmand. A sample set lets buyers try the line before choosing a bottle.

Mirads sits in creator-led, small-batch perfumery: a reviewer's own line of extrait-strength perfumes, sold through its own website. It suits wearers who like rich, sweet and amber scents, and followers of the founder's reviews.
