my Geisha is a Romanian fragrance and beauty brand founded in 2018 by Denisa Tănase, initially launched from a small attic before expanding into an international retail network. The brand focuses on high concentration formats such as extrait de parfum and perfumed oils, with many compositions drawing on Middle Eastern perfumery styles while being marketed through a distinctly European retail concept. Within a few years, my Geisha grew to more than 50 boutiques across at least 11 countries including Romania, France, Spain, Italy, Germany, Austria, Bulgaria, the United Kingdom, Hungary, Switzerland and Qatar.
The brand’s collections lean heavily into oriental and amber directions, often built around dense notes like vanilla, woods, coconut and florals, and packaged primarily as unisex or broadly gender-flexible scents. High oil concentrations and extrait strengths are a core selling point, with the house promoting strong persistence and noticeable sillage as key attributes. Cannabis Extrait de Parfum is frequently highlighted as a bestseller within the range, alongside lines such as Adults Only with fragrances like Foreplay, Overdose and Rehab.
Beyond perfume, my Geisha has expanded into skincare, body care and make up, positioning itself as a full beauty universe rather than a pure fragrance label. The brand’s communication emphasizes confidence and self expression, with store experiences and product naming clearly aimed at younger consumers who enjoy bold, attention grabbing scents. At the same time, the heavy use of outsourced Arabian style production and high sweetness levels has sparked debate among some enthusiasts, making my Geisha a polarizing player in contemporary European niche-style perfumery.
