Note Profile
Akebia Fruit is a rare fruit note built around a mild, fresh, lightly sweet impression. It is usually described as soft, melon- or cucumber-adjacent, with occasional lychee or pear-like nuances.
The scent is delicate, watery-fresh, and subtly fruity rather than loud or acidic. It can suggest melon, cucumber, soft pear, or faint tropical fruit, with a very low floral accent and little natural depth.
Akebia fruit comes from Akebia species, especially Akebia quinata, a climbing vine native to East Asia. In perfumery it is treated as a conceptual fruit note inspired by the edible pulp and its mild aroma rather than a standard major natural isolate.
Perfumers would use Akebia Fruit as a top-note fruit accent in fresh, airy, or contemporary tropical compositions. It can support melon, pear, lychee, cucumber, and transparent floral notes while adding a gentle exotic fruit facet without much sweetness or acidity.
