A captive synthetic from Symrise. Bulk Aroma lists it as a clear, colourless to pale yellow liquid and gives CAS 1357064-95-9. No public Symrise technical sheet with an olfactive description was found, so every scent word here comes from distributors rather than the maker.
Usage in Perfumery
A base-note amplifier for woody-amber accords. It gives dry warmth and projection, and the animalic nuance keeps it from reading as clean as ambroxan. Used at low levels in modern woody ambers where the aim is diffusion and length.
