Scent Profile

Sweet_vanillic leads and every source lands there by a different word: 'warm butterscotch scent' and 'creamy buttery toffee' (Nature's Garden), 'baking vanilla' (Sweet Essentials), 'luscious, deep butterscotch-y rum tones' (American Candle Supplies). Lactonic is the butter itself, named directly in all three vendor descriptions and reinforced by 'fresh whipped cream'. Boozy is the rum, and it is deliberately below the sweetness: two of the three vendors keep the rum in the background as a top note or as 'simmered rum', and American Candle Supplies names the split explicitly, describing one style with an alcohol note and another that is a gourmand like butter rum sweets, then placing its own blend in the sweet camp. Parfumo still files the note under boozy, so the facet is held at a real value rather than dropped. Creamy_woody carries the toffee-caramel body that sits between the sugar and the butter. Below the naming line, warm_spice rests on a single mention of nutmeg, fruity on the dried-fruit side of rum, nutty on toffee, and tropical on one mention of toasted coconut.

Not an extracted material. It is a compounded accord named after the hot drink of rum, butter, sugar and spice. Vendors build it from butter and caramel-toffee materials with a rum accord underneath. Parfumo records the note in 29 perfumes, first in 2004 and last in 2024.

Usage in Perfumery

Used through the whole structure of gourmand and winter perfumes rather than in one layer. Parfumo states it 'often occurs throughout the entire fragrance'.
