Coffee_cacao is almost the whole note and all three sources say the same thing in the same words. Wikipedia: 'distinct chocolate-like fragrance'. Mountain Valley Growers: 'rich cocoa scent'. A Garden for the House twice: 'the distinct air of cocoa-powder' and 'the smell is exactly like unsweetened cocoa'. Powdery is the second facet and it is earned rather than inferred, because two of the three describe the smell as cocoa powder specifically, which is dry and dusty rather than melted. Sweet_vanillic sits, and that low value is the one absence in this file a source actually asserts: 'dark, unadulterated baker's chocolate', 'unsweetened chocolate', stated twice. Everything else below 0.15 is unstated by these sources and held low with a wide spread rather than zeroed.

Berlandiera lyrata, the chocolate daisy, a North American wildflower grown in gardens for the smell of its flowers rather than for any extract. It blooms at night and gives up the scent in the morning. Two sources locate the odour in specific organs: Wikipedia says plucking the ray florets from the flower head releases it, and Mountain Valley Growers says the fragrant part is the stamens, which also taste of unsweetened chocolate. No supplier or manufacturer page for a Berlandiera extract was found, so there is no evidence this is sold as a perfumery raw material.

Use it where a brief wants cocoa without the confectionery: the published chocolate and dark-chocolate notes both carry roasted, nutty and animalic weight that these sources do not describe. Whether perfumers using the term are evoking the live plant's reputation or naming an ingredient is not established, which is the same pattern as notes named after drinks.
