Clover blossom is the flower head of the clover plant taken on its own, not the whole plant. It reads honeyed and softly floral, with meadow green behind it and a dry coumarinic hay warmth underneath. It is sweeter and lighter than the published clover note, which sits on the leaf-and-hay side of the same plant.

Clover Blossom smells mainly of honey, the scent of white clover flowers on their own rather than the whole plant. A soft floral note sits behind it, gentle rather than heavy. A meadow-like green runs underneath, lighter than in the leafy clover note, and a dry, coumarin hay warmth rounds off the base. It reads sweeter and lighter throughout than a plain hay-and-leaf clover.

Origin
No supplier sells a clover blossom absolute or CO2. True clover, Trifolium, yields no traded essential oil, so every clover effect in perfumery is a reconstruction built on coumarin, linalool, cis-3-hexenol and amyl salicylate. Premiere Peau's clover entry splits that reconstruction in two. It names 'the honey of white clover flowers' on one side and 'the dried-grass sweetness of the leaves' on the other. This note is the first half.
Usage in Perfumery
A soft meadow-floral used to open or lift a fougere, a hay accord or a light white floral. It carries honeyed sweetness with none of the indolic weight of jasmine or orange blossom. It sits next to tonka, woodruff, hay and mimosa. In practice it is built with amyl salicylate, the material Premiere Peau calls 'dry clover, sun-warmed hay' and the one perfumers have reached for to signal clover for over a century.
