Florymoss is a Givaudan captive, US trademark registration 3356726. The only published description of how it smells is four words in the press notes for Jennifer Lopez Blue Glow: "a green floral mossy note". Despite the name it is a synthetic chemical, not an extract of moss.

It is the head word of the phrase "a green floral mossy note", and it is the half of the name Givaudan chose to trademark. Floral and green are equal because the source gives no order between them and the name carries both halves, flory and moss. A fragrance chemical owned by Givaudan S.A. The Justia record of the USPTO filing gives only the goods class, "Chemicals used for the preparation of perfume, cosmetic, soap and detergent compositions". No structure, CAS number or Givaudan datasheet with an odour profile is public. The moss half of the name is a claim about the smell, not about the source. Nothing here comes from a lichen.
