About

Forest foliage is a built accord, not an extraction. Premiere Peau describes it as the crispness of fresh leaves, the dampness of rich soil, and a hint of resinous pine. It is the leaf half of a woodland: crushed green over damp ground, with moss and broken twigs under it. The wood itself stays in the background.

Scent Profile

Green leads and the source puts it first twice: crispness of fresh leaves in the description, then galbanum green snap and crushed-leaf cis-3-hexenol in the build. Both of the two named green materials are green materials, and nothing else in the build is. Earthy is the dampness of rich soil, carried by the patchouli and vetiver the source names. Mossy_chypre is the moss and leaf litter, and the source names oakmoss replacements as the material that does it. Below the naming line, dry_woody and amber_resinous split the hint of resinous pine between its dry side and its resin side, and hint is the source's own word so both stay low. Aromatic_herbal, aquatic_ozonic for the damp, mineral, and tobacco_hay and sulphurous each are traces, not claims - galbanum's own published vector carries a sulphurous edge and litter accords usually carry a dry-hay thread, but this source names neither, so they sit near zero with open spreads.

Origin

Constructed by the perfumer. Premiere Peau names the parts: galbanum for green snap, cis-3-hexenol for crushed leaf character, oakmoss replacements for the litter, and patchouli or vetiver for the damp-earth floor. There is no plant called forest foliage and no oil sold under that name. What varies between houses is the ratio of leaf to earth, and that ratio is what this note tries to fix.

A heart accord. Premiere Peau places it bridging fresh-green top notes to woody-earthy bases, which is what the ingredient list already implies - galbanum and cis-3-hexenol are top-note materials, patchouli and vetiver are base-note materials, and the accord is the join.
