Fresh Notes is a group note for the cold and airy end of a composition, and it is what is left of that family once citrus is taken out. Brands print `Citrus notes` separately and mean something else by it, so this covers ozone, cold water, cut cucumber, mint and the soapy lift of an aldehyde.

The weighted common ground of 17 published notes in the fresh family whose leading facet is not citrus - aldehydes, ozonic, peppermint, eucalyptus, cucumber, calone, ice and camphor. Most of them are sensations rather than materials, which is why the group is thin and its confidence is low.

Usage in Perfumery

The opening. A fresh accord is what makes a fragrance read as clean and awake in the first minutes, and it is almost gone within the hour. Perfumers use it over a heavy base to stop the whole thing reading as dense.
