Wintermelon
Note Profile
About
Faint cool water and cucumber rind
Scent Profile
Wintermelon smells of cool water and a whisper of cucumber rind. It is clean, wet and nearly blank, like the inside of a clean glass. A faint watermelon rind shows without any sugar. Once the flesh is cut, a soft fatty, buttery green edge appears.

ScentArt
Origin
Wintermelon is the wax gourd, Benincasa hispida, also called ash gourd or white gourd. The fresh gourd is nearly odourless. A fatty, green, buttery smell appears when the flesh is cut or cooked. In perfumery it is an accord built from green and aquatic materials, not an extract.
Usage in Perfumery
Perfumers use it for sheer, watery and clean freshness, not for fruit. It sits in light green and aquatic accords and in tea compositions. It wears off fast.
