Ice Wine
Note Profile
About
Honeyed apricot and peach sweet wine
Scent Profile
Ice wine smells of ripe peach and apricot, rich like jam, with honey running beside the fruit. Lychee and pineapple add a bright tropical side. A candied citrus lift and a fresh acidity keep it from turning cloying. A soft winy warmth carries the whole, with a trace of cinnamon at the back.

Origin
Ice wine (icewine, Eiswein) is a sweet dessert wine made from grapes frozen on the vine. The frozen grapes are pressed so only a concentrated, sugary juice runs off. As a perfume note it is an accord that reproduces the wine's aroma, not a single material.
Usage in Perfumery
Perfumers use it as a luxurious fruity-gourmand note, built from stone fruit, honey and a soft winy accord. Kelly + Jones frames its ice wine perfume as iced stonefruit and warm honey over musk and oak. It suits sweet fruity and honeyed compositions.
