Italian Leather is a brand name for a leather accord meant to suggest fine Italian leather goods. It is not a fixed formula. Brands use it for anything from a soft, velvety suede to a sharp, spicy leather with an animal edge.

Italian Leather smells of finished leather. How it reads depends on the brand. Some versions are soft, velvety and slightly balmy, close to suede. Others are spicy and almost sharp, with an animal and smoky edge. Amber, tonka or woods often sit under it in the perfumes that use it.

A constructed accord, not a material. No supplier sheet defining it was found. Parfumo lists it as a note in 45 perfumes on 2026-10-10, first in 2012. The Memo Paris perfume called Italian Leather is a finished perfume of the same name. Its own pyramid lists a 'Leather accord', so it does not define this note.
Usage in Perfumery
Used mostly as a base note. Rasasi La Yuqawam pour Homme (2012) sets it with agarwood and amber. Trussardi Riflesso (2017) sets it with vetiver and tonka bean. Tiziana Terenzi Vittoriale (2022) sets it with cardamom, tobacco and oud.
