NaturalCalm is a proprietary synthetic musk. It smells soft, powdery and skin-warm, and it is built to be barely there. The one source that describes it calls it "not a strong, projecting musk" and says it registers as comfort rather than as fragrance. It belongs to the clean-musk group that perfumers use for skin scents.

It sits below the 0.88-0.90 that this vocabulary gives musk, habanolide and linen, because the same source twice denies projection - "not a strong, projecting musk", "barely perceptible". Powdery is the second facet and arrives in the same phrase as the first, "musky-powdery, skin-warm". Floral is a trace and the weakest claim in the file. Fully synthetic. The single source found says NaturalCalm is a proprietary molecule with no natural source and no published production route. No fragrance house claims it. Searches of Givaudan, Symrise, IFF, dsm-Firmenich, Bedoukian, Fraterworks and Perfumer's Apprentice returned nothing under this name, and no CAS number is published. The only description of its smell is a perfumery glossary entry at Premiere Peau. Fragrantica carries it as note n764 with 6 perfumes and no odour text of its own. So the term is real trade vocabulary, but the material behind it is documented in exactly one place.

Usage in Perfumery

A base musk for skin-scent and intimate compositions. It works as a soft cushion under florals, light woods and powdery accords, where the brief asks for warmth without projection. The source groups it with Habanolide, Velvione and Helvetolide as materials that build this aesthetic. It is not a musk to use when radiance is wanted, because the whole design goal is the opposite.
