Orange soda is a beverage accord for a chilled fizzy orange soft drink. It is sweeter and much less bitter than orange peel, and it is not sour the way lemon soda is.

Origin
A fantasy accord. Nothing is extracted to make it. Craft fragrance-oil houses sell it under the drink's own name, and one names Sunkist as the model. Indigo Fragrance builds it from orange, orange peel, lemon zest and grapefruit over a vanilla base. Wicked Good builds it as fresh orange over a 'bubbly seltzer' heart and a 'crushed ice' base, and names no vanilla at all.
Usage in Perfumery
Used as a top note to open a fragrance on something a wearer reads as a soft drink rather than a fruit. It carries the lift of orange with none of the peel's bitterness, so it suits playful summer and gourmand-adjacent work. Pair it with sugar, vanilla and light musk, or with an ozonic accord if you want the seltzer reading instead.
