What is ScentArt?

Origin

A branded orange liqueur from Remy Cointreau, made from sweet and bitter orange peel essences distilled into neutral spirit. The maker calls it 'a captivating ode to orange' and says it 'owes this impact to a complex blend of orange peel essences'. Cointreau published a gas-chromatography aroma wheel that sorts more than forty aromas into seven families, spanning, in its own words, 'cut grass to toffee'.

Usage in Perfumery

Rare as a named note. We found three perfumes using it: Demeter's Cosmopolitan Cocktail, V Canto Mirabile and Joop! Muse. The two reviews read the alcohol differently. The Mirabile review places it in 'a delayed good splash of rum including a bit of Cointreau plus slightly resinous and spicy hints'. The Joop! Muse review says 'although the notes list champagne and Cointreau, there's nothing boozy here' and links it to a caramelised feel.
