Pineapple itself yields no representative essential oil, so every pineapple material in perfumery is a reconstruction from aroma chemicals. Pineapple Leaf is the same kind of reconstruction, steered green and metallic instead of sweet and juicy. The plant is Ananas comosus, a bromeliad, and its stiff glaucous leaves are the referent being described.
