About
Pumpkin Pie is a gourmand accord: baked pumpkin filling, sugar and pastry crust, with cinnamon, ginger and clove through the middle. It is not the gourd. Spice and sugar come first and the vegetable sits underneath.
Scent Profile
Pumpkin pie smells of cinnamon and clove first, with a touch of ginger running through the spice. A sugar sweetness sits right behind it, the vanilla-sugar base of the filling. A baked, nutty pastry-crust note runs underneath, and a soft, custard-like creaminess fills out the middle. A little raw, earthy gourd shows through at the very back.

A prepared accord, not a natural. Demeter builds it as pumpkin plus sugar and three spices. Village Craft & Candle publishes a pyramid: Pumpkin Puree and a proprietary Pie Crust Accord on top, cinnamon, clove buds and ginger root in the middle, cinnamon leaf and vanilla sugar in the base.
Usage in Perfumery
Rare in fine fragrance where autumn seasonal ranges carry it. One perfume on Fragrantica names it.
