A dry, chalky marine mineral note. It is the smell of a sun-bleached shell rather than of open water, and it finishes salty-powdery with a faint musky warmth.

Mineral dominates, and it is the dry chalky kind rather than the wet-stone kind: calcium, sun-bleached shell, a touch of warm sand. Aquatic_ozonic sits well below it, faintly briny rather than watery, because the note is explicitly less wet than a classic aquatic. Powdery carries the drydown, the salty-powdery finish of chalk rather than talc. Clean_musk gives the subtle warmth underneath that keeps the note from reading cold. Traces of aldehydic airiness, iodine and green edge sit below those four but are not the character.

Not a single traceable raw material. Sea shells is a descriptive perfumery note, built as an accord from mineral, salt and light musk materials. No manufacturer publishes a captive under this name, and no encyclopaedic source treats it as a material.
Usage in Perfumery
Attested on 34 Fragrantica entries and none on Parfumo. Fragrantica files it under musk, amber and animalic smells and calls it a savoury note. In use it sits with solar florals, driftwood accords, salt and light ambers.
