Origin

There is no starfish material. Nothing is extracted from the animal and nothing is traded under the name. The note is an image built from other materials: marine aldehydes, seaweed absolute, salty and mineral bases, and a small animalic musk. The only description this dossier could reach is the Premiere Peau glossary, which frames it as a construction and defines it partly by what it is not - not seafood, and not the clean synthetic marine register of 1990s aquatics. Its positive description is the littoral zone: kelp, salt, sun-warmed stone, and something faintly animal.
