Tobacco & Vanilla keeps its promise. There is no top layer to speak of, so it begins straight in the warm middle, with cacao butter and dried fruits giving the first impression of something rich and baked. Vanilla and tobacco carry the base together. The vanilla is sweet and creamy, the tobacco a dried-leaf note with a trace of smoke, and tonka bean and amber join to add a baked, almondy warmth. It is a straightforward, comforting build. Nothing fights for attention, and the result is a close, cosy scent that works as a seasonal staple. Strength and projection are moderate, so it sits on the skin and warms with body heat. It wears best in winter, on dark evenings and dates, though it is mild enough for a casual autumn day.
