Amouage Al Shomoukh is a perfume oil. Amouage's Al Shomoukh carries an Acquired verdict, a floral-led wear.

Divisive, challenging, and utterly compelling. This is a bold, animalic oud and rose bomb that will either captivate you with its regal, almost shocking intensity or send you running for the hills. Definitely not for the faint of heart.

Top, heart and base are the brand's own listing, not a timing claim - the industry classifies a note by its character as much as by how fast it fades. Each curve here is modelled from that material's own volatility, so groups can overlap when a house lists long-lasting materials in its heart.

About

Al Shomoukh opens with an immediate, powerful blast of animalic oud, almost barnyard-like in its initial intensity, softened by the rich, honeyed facets of Taif rose. As it settles, green, earthy vetiver weaves through the composition, adding a dry, almost leathery texture. The floral notes linger subtly in the background, a delicate counterpoint to the dominant woody and musky base, which retains a smoky, regal presence throughout its epic wear.
