ARgENTUM Sage is an Eau de Parfum launched in 2022, created by Delphine Thierry. Sage opens with Bergamot and Violet Leaf, settles into a heart of Carrot Seeds, Ylang-Ylang, and Heliotrope, and dries down to a base of Sandalwood and Vanilla. ARgENTUM's Sage carries a Favourite verdict, a sweet-led wear.

Heliotrope and green violet leaf with ylang-ylang, vanilla and sandalwood: a soft, powdery, calming floral. Best from autumn to spring, with a close trail. Some skins turn it soapy.

Showing: Overall Blend

Top, heart and base are the pyramid as published, not a timing claim. The notes evaporate together, at speeds set by their vapour pressure (from ScentPrism). Each ribbon shows the note's share of what is left on the skin, which tracks how strongly it smells, because odour thresholds rise with vapour pressure. The shares come from how prominent wearers vote each note. It is a simple model, not a measurement.

About

Sage is No. VII of the twelve ARgENTUM archetype fragrances, a floral powdery Eau de Parfum that the brand links to wisdom and self-knowledge. It is the line's heliotrope and violet powder, and the one most often compared with classic perfumery. The opening is green, dry violet leaf with a trace of bergamot. The heart is heliotrope, with its bittersweet, almond-like powder, a generous measure of ylang-ylang and a hint of carrot seed. Vanilla and sandalwood warm the base. Noses pick up creamy powdery violets over woody green notes, and a faint makeup-bag or lipstick association. Skin chemistry matters: on some it is ylang-forward and sweeter than the notes suggest, on others it turns herbal and soapy. It is made without alcohol or solvents, as a milky emulsion of water and natural oils that sprays finely, so keep it off clothes. The trail stays close to the skin, and lasting power is moderate. Spring, autumn and winter suit it, and it fits the office or a quiet day better than a dramatic evening. A gentle scent for people who like violet and heliotrope without a sugar overload.
