About

Few niche fragrances have been copied as often as Tom Ford's Tobacco Vanille, and No 77 follows the well-known formula: a tobacco leaf and vanilla opening, a cacao-tonka heart, and a dried-fruit woody base. The overall warm, dessert-like tobacco character is present and enjoyable, especially in the first hour. The gap shows in density - the original is famous for a heavy, spiced, almost syrupy richness that projects for hours, while this version is noticeably lighter and settles into a simpler woody-sweet finish sooner. Still a satisfying, cosy gourmand in its own right for the price, just without the intensity that makes the Tom Ford original such a signature scent.
