Avon Rare Flowers Night Orchid is an Eau de Parfum launched in 2019, created by Annie Buzantian and Frank Voelkl. Rare Flowers Night Orchid opens with Bergamot, Orange, Grapefruit, and Pink Pepper, settles into a heart of Orchid, Jasmine, Lily of the Valley, and Gardenia, and dries down to a base of Cashmere Wood, Musk, Cedar, and Sandalwood. Avon's Rare Flowers Night Orchid carries a Statement verdict, a fresh-led wear.

This one is a real mixed bag. Some find it a 'niche quality' floral; others smell nothing but a 'generic' Avon. For some, it's 'cosy' and 'feminine'; for others, 'dusty' and 'overbearing'. Try before you buy, but don't expect a strong statement.

Top, heart and base are the brand's own listing, not a timing claim - the industry classifies a note by its character as much as by how fast it fades. Each curve here is modelled from that material's own volatility, so groups can overlap when a house lists long-lasting materials in its heart.

Best Seasons

Best For:
Spring Fall Winter

A cold-weather scent - best worn in autumn and spring.

Best Occasions

Best For:
Casual
Also Works:
Office Date

Its moderate longevity and sillage, coupled with its 'clean' and 'easy to wear' floral profile, make it suitable for casual wear and the office. It's not quite bold enough for formal events or intense sport, and opinions vary on its suitability for a date.

About

Rare Flowers Night Orchid opens with a zesty, almost fruity burst of bergamot and grapefruit, brightened by a hint of pink pepper. The heart unfurls into a clean, slightly sweet floral bouquet where black orchid and gardenia take centre stage, underpinned by soft jasmine and lily of the valley. As it settles, a comforting base of cashmere wood and sandalwood emerges, bringing a gentle warmth and a touch of musk to the dry down.
