Being Joyful is an Eau de Parfum launched in 2025. Joyful opens with Bergamot, Lemon, Orange, and Cardamom, settles into a heart of Orange Blossom, Jasmine, and Coconut, and dries down to a base of Musk, Amber, Sandalwood, and Vanilla. Being's Joyful carries a Favourite verdict, a citrus-led wear.

The sunniest of Being's four debut scents, and the most straightforwardly likeable. Citrus and cardamom open it, creamy coconut and orange blossom carry the middle, and a soft vanilla-amber base keeps it warm rather than sugary.

When To Wear

Best Seasons

Best For:
Spring Summer
Also Works:
Fall

A citrus-led opening and coconut-and-orange-blossom heart put this firmly in warm-weather territory. The vanilla and amber base gives it just enough body for a cool spring morning, but it would be lost under winter layers.

Best Occasions

Best For:
Office Casual
Also Works:
Date

Sweet but never loud, so it works as an everyday and office scent without dominating a room. The coconut and vanilla give it enough warmth for a casual date, though it lacks the gravity for black tie.

About

Joyful is the brightest corner of Being's four-strong debut, and it wears its brief openly. The opening is a citrus rush of bergamot, orange and lemon, with cardamom pods adding a faint warm rasp so the top does not read as plain cologne. The heart softens quickly into orange blossom and night-blooming jasmine, and it is the creamy coconut sitting beneath them that gives the fragrance its character: less tropical suncream, more soft milky sweetness wrapped around white flowers. The base settles into vanilla resin, sandalwood and amber, pulling everything into a warm, faintly resinous skin scent, with cistus labdanum adding just enough depth to stop it turning candied. Performance is respectable rather than remarkable, which is fair for a 100ml eau de parfum sold at around forty pounds: expect moderate projection through the first hour and a comfortable half-day on skin before it sits close. It is an easy daytime wear. Spring and summer suit it best, it is polite enough for the office, and it has enough sweetness to carry into a casual evening. The lane is affordable, mood-led, feel-good floral gourmand, sold only through The Fragrance Shop and pitched at anyone who wants something friendlier and more considered than the usual high-street vanilla. If the wellness framing leaves you cold, the juice still stands up on its own terms.
