Dana 20 Carats is a Cologne launched in 1933. Dana's 20 Carats carries an Acquired verdict, a sweet-led wear.

20 Carats is a heavy spicy oriental, with whisky, tobacco, cherry and resins piled on oakmoss and patchouli. It is rich and boozy and not shy, so it suits anyone who likes their perfume dense and dramatic.

Top, heart and base are the brand's own listing, not a timing claim - the industry classifies a note by its character as much as by how fast it fades. Each curve here is modelled from that material's own volatility, so groups can overlap when a house lists long-lasting materials in its heart.

About

20 Carats is listed as one long set of notes with no pyramid, and it reads like a dense, dark oriental. Whisky, tobacco and cherry give a boozy, slightly sweet character, while carnation, nutmeg, cinnamon and star anise bring plenty of spice. Myrrh and resins add a smoky depth, with oakmoss, patchouli and vetiver giving an earthy base, and musk, tonka bean and orange smoothing the edges. It is a rich, spicy and resinous scent.
