Diesel Diesel is an Eau de Parfum launched in 1996, created by Geza Schoen. Diesel settles into a heart of Caraway, Bergamot, Lemon, and Mandarin, and dries down to a base of Amber. Diesel's Diesel carries an Acquired verdict, a vanilla-led wear.

This one's a relic from the 90s, and it smells like it. Polarising, with some finding it a nostalgic gem and others dismissing it as synthetic and cheap. If you're after a peppery, slightly leathery unisex scent with a vintage vibe, hunt it down. Otherwise, move along.

About

Diesel opens with a sharp, almost metallic blast of citrus and galbanum, quickly joined by a kick of black pepper and ginger. As it settles, a warm, aromatic heart of cardamom and carnation emerges, lending a slightly spicy, floral edge. The dry down is a comforting, if a bit synthetic, blend of vanilla and tonka bean, softened by amber, giving it a somewhat powdery, almost leather-like finish.
