Velvet Wood opens with a rich, dark ebony wood, evoking the scent of a luxurious lumberyard after rain - earthy, moist, and deep. This woody core is soon joined by a sophisticated leather accord, soft and supple rather than harsh. As it settles, a warm, resinous benzoin emerges, adding a balsamic sweetness that mellows the wood and leather into a smooth, refined embrace. It's a quiet elegance that unfortunately fades far too quickly.
