Dupe Perfumes Flowerbomb is an Eau de Parfum. Flowerbomb opens with Bergamot, Freesia, and Tea, settles into a heart of Cattleya Orchid, Rose, and Jasmine, and dries down to a base of Amber, Patchouli, and Cashmeran. Dupe Perfumes's Flowerbomb carries an Acquired verdict, a floral-led wear.

Dupe Petalbomb reaches for Flowerbomb's signature floral-explosion effect, jasmine and rose stacked thick over a sweet, ambery base, but Viktor&Rolf's version holds its sillage for hours longer, while this dupe's patchouli-cashmeran base flattens into a simpler sweet-musk within an hour or two.

About

Flowerbomb earned its name for a reason: it is one of the loudest, most maximalist florals on the market, a wall of jasmine, rose and orchid built over a sweet, ambery patchouli base designed to bloom rather than whisper. Dupe Petalbomb goes after that same maximalist floral effect and largely succeeds in the opening hour - jasmine sambac and centifolia rose come through thick and sweet, with cattleya orchid adding a slightly waxy, exotic edge, and the bergamot-tea-freesia top keeps it from tipping into pure sugar too early. Where it diverges from Viktor&Rolf's version is staying power. Flowerbomb's patchouli-musk-vanilla base is famous for lasting the entire day and clinging to clothing for far longer; Dupe Petalbomb's amber-cashmeran-patchouli base is noticeably lighter, settling into a soft, generic sweet-musk within a couple of hours rather than the original's rich, syrupy drydown. It also reads a touch less complex overall - the original's orchid-jasmine-freesia interplay has more depth than this version manages. Still, for anyone who loves the initial floral-bomb hit and doesn't need eight-plus hours of projection, this gets impressively close for a fraction of the cost.
